FAW Jiefang said on October 27 that its first batch of 210 Jiefang trucks bound for the United Arab Emirates has been shipped, achieving a "zero-to-one" sales breakthrough in the UAE market. The UAE is a key pivot for FAW Jiefang's West Asia region to develop the Gulf market; the batch shipment marks that local marketing has moved from channel development and product preparation into volume delivery, laying a foundation for expanding Gulf-region sales scale and improving West Asia footprint. The move fits Chinese commercial-vehicle makers' broader push into Middle East and Belt-and-Road markets as domestic demand cools.
