Guangdong Deploys 2,000+ Humanoid Robots in Factories; Midea 'Meiluo U' Six-Arm Does 6 Screws in 10s at 99.8%, Full-Year Over 3,000
Guangdong is a key window into China's humanoid-robot commercialization. By September the province had placed over 2,000 humanoids in manufacturers with stable real-scene deployment, likely above 3,000 for the full year. At Midea's global innovation center, the "Meiluo U" super-humanoid six-arm robot drives screws at about 10 seconds for 6 pieces with 99.8% success. At HuaYan Robotics' Foshan base, a robot sorts express at over 1,800 pieces per hour (record 1,911), and its line has run over three months handling 100,000+ product backplates. Firms say success in open environments with light changes, material variance and oil needs repeated real-scene polishing; only through real deployment do robots form measurable business value. Foreign buyers now queue to tour these sites.
