A C-V2X industry insider told Cailian Press on October 26 that relevant authorities have launched work on a mandatory standard requiring vehicles to install cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) connectivity, with a working group already formed and dozens of organizations participating. Commercial vehicles have already been the first required to fit C-V2X, following a July draft national standard on operational-vehicle safety. If adopted, the rule would make vehicle-to-everything communication a baseline safety feature, accelerating the rollout of connected-vehicle infrastructure alongside intelligent-driving adoption.
