China Auto Exports Nearing 10 Million as Service-Chain Upgrade Becomes the New Overseas Challenge

China's auto exports are on track to breach 10 million units this year, but industry voices at a recent automotive outbound-business innovation conference warned that the real test is no longer selling cars but building service, data and supply-chain systems abroad. In the first nine months, China shipped 8.205 million vehicles, up 65.8% year on year and already above last year's full-year total of 7.098 million; new-energy vehicle exports reached 4.006 million, up 127.9%, and their share of total vehicle exports has topped half for four straight months. Market researcher Dataforce said Chinese-brand registrations in Europe rose nearly 100% in the third quarter to a 12.7% share, surpassing Japan's 11.9% for a full quarter for the first time. Speakers described a shift from an "opportunity window" to a "capability-validation period," with the goal of an "ecosystem outbound" phase in which Chinese firms must "stand firm and bring returns home." The China Automobile Maintenance and Repair Association cautioned that after-sales capability is lagging volume growth and that pressure will concentrate in the next two to three years as overseas fleets accumulate.
