Yiwu to Host 50 Free E-Commerce, AI and Live-Streaming Training Sessions in November Under 'Smart 230' Plan

Yiwu will run about 50 free offline training events in November across cross-border e-commerce, AI application and live-streaming commerce to empower local business operators, the city's market-development committee said on November 3. The sessions range from sharing meetings and hands-on operations workshops to AI product-infrastructure courses. They build on the city's "Smart 230" training program, which uses a "government platform, enterprise empowerment, college linkage" model to deliver AI-application talent training in e-commerce; this year alone it has held more than 300 such events. The push reflects how Yiwu's traditional small-commodity market is being upgraded through digital tools, with AI, live commerce and cross-border platforms becoming standard skills for the city's merchants as they move from "selling products" to building brands, design and global channels. Officials said the training is open to the public and designed to lower the barrier for small and micro businesses to join global trade.
