Luxeed (Zhijie) Enters Public Notice for Independent Manufacturing License, Plans Standalone IPO
On October 16, 2026, Anhui Luxeed New Energy Automobile Co. was listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's 412th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" as a proposed new market-access manufacturer, with a public-notice period running to October 23. A Luxeed insider confirmed on October 17 that, once the notice clears, the brand will obtain an independent manufacturing qualification and plans to list independently in the future. The move marks an upgrade of the Chery-Huawei partnership model from contract manufacturing and affiliation toward an independent legal entity with separate accounting and a capital-market track. Observers said independent manufacturing qualification is a prerequisite for a standalone IPO, meaning Luxeed aims to leave Chery's consolidated statements and raise funds on its own, but whether the listing proceeds depends on whether it can build a story of sales and profit compelling enough for investors.
