Yiwu Deepens Trade With BRICS Nations as Buyers and Logistics Links Multiply
Yiwu is deepening and upgrading its trade with BRICS nations, moving from scattered "small commodities" to structured "big industry" ties, Yiwu Net reported. At a Suxi-town maker, a 600,000-yuan batch of plush companion pens was packed for Indonesia as a flagship new product for the 2026 Indonesia-ASEAN stationery and gifts expo, with the per-unit price about ten times ordinary stationery yet strong local uptake. A local exhibition-service firm serving over 60,000 foreign buyers organized more than 600 BRICS purchasers to Yiwu in the first eight months, generating over 280 million yuan in intended deals across hardware, daily goods and beauty categories. Brazil has become a key destination thanks to visa facilitation, with more Yiwu firms courting local wholesalers and studying live-commerce fit. On the Russia route, the first Zhejiang-Europe block-train (Yiwu-Beliy Rast) dual-hub service cut transit by about 25%, and a "TIR + cross-border e-commerce" channel launched in July sent the first 80,000 parcels to Kazan, shortening overall time by 20%, with road-rail combined lines to Russia being expanded.
