iFlytek Debuts Xingchen TaaS Platform at 1024 Developer Festival; MiniMax Open-Sources M3.1 Flash
At its global 1024 Developer Festival on October 23, iFlytek debuted the Xingchen TaaS platform, integrating model scheduling, agent engines, knowledge engineering, tool orchestration and runtime governance to connect model capabilities, industry knowledge and business processes; the company said its ecosystem now has 11.87 million developers. On the same day MiniMax open-sourced its M3.1 Flash model, which processed over 100 trillion tokens within 72 hours of release; compared with the previous M3, M3.1 Flash raised capabilities across the board and cut usage cost by 70% through sparse attention, quantization-aware training and power-aware scheduling, with online inference speed nearly tripled. The releases underscore how Chinese model makers are pairing platform tooling with low-cost, open models.
