NEV Sales and Output Rise, Exports Double; CATL Supply Chain Seen Winning
September domestic NEV sales reached 1.823 million units, up 13.6% year on year and 10.9% month on month, with exports at 571,000, up 157% and repeatedly hitting record highs, Cailian Financial reported October 27. On a CPCA basis, NEV passenger-car wholesale were 1.666 million with a 65.4% penetration, and retail penetration reached 67.0%. Models above B-class took a 52.3% share, reflecting consumption upgrades and trade-in policy dividends. Brokerages said the export surge plus steady high-end share validates the global competitiveness of the domestic supply chain, directly benefiting CATL as the leader and lifting orders and output for structural parts, electrolyte, separators and anode materials as overseas deliveries accelerate.
