2026 GAIC Conference Opens: SOE AI Scenario Co-Creation Plan and Physical-AI Benchmarks Unveiled
The 2026 Global AI Computing (GAIC) Conference opened with a focus on domestic compute and an autonomous AI ecosystem. Tsinghua professor Zheng Weimin targeted the core pain of "cards hard to use" and "siloed adaptation," proposing a unified software stack so one codebase runs across platforms without modification to support large-model innovation and scaled use. The conference launched an "SOE AI Scenario Co-Creation Partner Plan" linking five central SOEs (China Electronics, China Automotive Tech, etc.) and four leading AI bodies (including Zhipu and Guanglun) to match real SOE scenarios with AI innovators. It released a China AI international application and governance cooperation white paper and two deliverables: a high-quality AI Token factory solution for heterogeneous domestic inference and the ReAct-Manip physical-AI manipulation adaptability benchmark, advancing embodied intelligence from lab to ecosystem.
