At the 2026 Physical AI and World Model Conference, Momenta CEO Cao Xudong said world models are accelerating an 'autonomous-driving Moore's law,' and projected that 2028 could see an important inflection point for L4 autonomous driving at scale. The comment reflects growing industry confidence that advanced driver-assistance is moving from assisted to higher-level autonomy as models, data and compute mature, and that simulation-driven world models are compressing the time needed to reach reliable self-driving.
