SenseTime Open-Sources SenseNova-RoboRSI Embodied-AI Harness and 27B Robot-Brain Model
SenseTime has open-sourced the SenseNova-RoboRSI evaluation harness and a 27-billion-parameter embodied-AI "robot brain" model, according to Pandaily. The release follows a study of GPT-6-Astra across 12 simulated benchmarks and 8 real robots, providing a reproducible setup for benchmarking and building embodied-AI systems. By opening the harness and model weights, SenseTime lets outside developers test against its reported performance and lowers the cost of embodied-AI R&D - part of a broader Chinese lab strategy of competing through open weights rather than closed APIs. Commercial impact is not yet evident, but the move signals an ecosystem play around its embodied-intelligence stack.
