2027 Top 10 China Automotive Technology Trends Released: 400 Wh/kg Solid-State Battery Enters Pilot
CCTV reported on November 1 that the China Society of Automotive Engineers released the Top 10 Automotive Technology Trends for 2027, outlining the innovation roadmap for the coming year. The ten include solid-state batteries at the 400 Wh/kg single-cell energy-density level entering pilot stage, accelerated adoption of fused vehicle motion-control technology, small-scale use of magnesium-alloy integrated body castings, and high-level autonomous-driving truck platooning entering 1,000-vehicle-scale demonstration. Experts said these reflect three traits of intelligent connected NEVs: deepening smart-electrified fusion, new materials and structures pushing innovation deeper, and cross-industry convergence widening boundaries. China's intelligent-connected supply chain is rising fast, with the number of Chinese firms among the global top 100 auto-parts suppliers growing from just 1 in 2013 to 17 today, marking a shift from single-point breakthroughs to systemic capability.
