Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port Launches First Custom Sea-Rail Enterprise Block Train
China Yiwu Net reported on November 1 that a block train fully loaded with daily necessities departed from the Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port via the Yong-Jin railway straight to Ningbo-Zhoushan Port's Chuanshan terminal, then by sea to the Middle East. Tailored for one enterprise, the service precisely eases exporters' pain points of tight capacity, high warehousing cost and high comprehensive expense in the second-half peak season, deepening the "sixth port area" build-out and smoothing the land-sea international logistics channel. A freight forwarder said the fixed, scheduled, normalized block-train service lets large container batches ship together, clearing bottlenecks; empty containers are consolidated by rail at Suxi to cut pre-stacking and warehouse rent, while direct Chuanshan access avoids demurrage from schedule mismatches. Yiwu Port will build "one entrusted, worry-free end-to-end" logistics packages for diversified export scenarios.
