Wuzhen Summit Highlights 6G and Frontier Tech as 671 Institutions From 54 Countries Show 1,000+ Innovations
The 2026 World Internet Conference "Light of Internet" expo opened in Wuzhen on November 2, attracting 671 Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions from 54 countries and regions and showcasing more than 1,000 new technologies and products in satellite internet, quantum communication, 6G, agents, large models and embodied intelligence. GSMA, together with Qualcomm and Keysight, presented an end-to-end 6G prototype demonstrating remote construction-machinery driving over a 6G network; China Mobile showed integrated sensing-computing-intelligence and space-air-ground-sea networking; and ZTE brought the world's first AI-agent smartphone. Robots moved beyond static display to "work" in malls, homes and production lines, while Ant's robot pharmacy completed order-to-delivery on its own. The expo's first full showcase of "intelligent internet" spanned six themed zones, presenting a future where connectivity, compute and human-friendly interaction converge.
