Five Rokae Humanoid Robots Assemble Their Own Joint Modules in Suzhou Taicang 'Robot-Making-Robot' Factory
An embodied-intelligence robot smart factory opened in Taicang, Suzhou, where five Rokae ZhuiXing H wheeled humanoids perform bin handling, parts sorting, press-fitting, screw assembly, functional testing, marking and packaging - assembling the very joint modules that go into robots, Toutiao reported on November 1. With 23 degrees of freedom and a top speed of 1.5 m/s, the robots handle small-batch, multi-variety work where traditional industrial robots struggle. Crucially, the factory pairs the line with a scenario-training data center, a digital-twin platform and a compute center, turning the hard task of "teaching" robots into part of the production line itself; the trained models can migrate to other stations and plants. Rokae, which signed with Schaeffler in April and moved joint-module parts into mass production by late October, has delivered over 10,000 orders with more than 80 partners - a sign the "robot-making-robot" idea has moved from slogan to 24-hour stable mass production.
