On October 20 BYD's Ocean Network launched the first generation change of its 'national miracle car' Seagull - the second-generation Seagull - in five versions with super trade-in prices from 62,900 to 96,900 yuan. The update upgrades six dimensions: looks, space, comfort, intelligence, charging and safety. Since its 2023 launch the Seagull has sold over 1.55 million units, setting the record as the fastest pure-EV model to surpass one million in cumulative global sales, underscoring the strength of China's compact EV segment.
