In this week's auto headlines, BYD's AI agent 'Didi Shrimp' (Di Di Xia) has been rolled into its vehicles, marking a step in embedding conversational intelligence into the cockpit. Separately, Xiaomi founder Lei Jun said the 'second half' of the smart-connected-vehicle race is no longer just about a single technology but about competing on ecosystems. Lei Jun argued that as autonomous and connected features mature, the winners will be those who build integrated ecosystems spanning vehicles, devices, services and energy. The remarks reflect an industry shift from specs competition toward software, services and user-experience moats.
