China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met Bernd Lange, chair of the European Parliament's International Trade Committee, on Oct 27, calling the EU and China important trade partners and noting two trade and investment consultation meetings this year reached consensus. Wang pointed to recent EU trade-restriction tools affecting supply chains and enterprise cooperation, and hoped to expand two-way investment and increase imports from Europe under WTO rules and mutual benefit.
