Tencent Open-Sources Hunyuan Hy3 With Apache 2.0 License, Free for Commercial Use
Tencent formally released the official version of its Hunyuan Hy3 large model on Oct 29 and opened it for open-source use under the Apache 2.0 license, letting developers worldwide download and use it commercially for free. Hy3 uses a Mixture-of-Experts architecture with 295 billion total parameters and only 21 billion activated per inference, with 80 transformer layers, grouped attention, 192 expert nodes and a 256,000-token context window handling about 200,000 characters of text. Compared with the preview, agent and coding ability rose about 30% with fewer hallucinations; weights are on Hugging Face, ModelScope and GitHub, a notably commerce-friendly move among China's large internet firms.
