Physical AI Hits Commercial Inflection as Nvidia, Germany and Optimus Bet on a 6 Trillion Dollar Market
Shanghai Securities News reports physical AI, AI that understands and acts in the physical world, has reached an industrialization inflection, becoming a new A-share theme. At Nvidia's GTC Berlin, CEO Jensen Huang called the next wave "physical AI," and Germany plans hundreds of millions of euros with Nvidia for industrial physical-AI models; Tesla said its first "mass-production-quality" Optimus units are off line, targeting external delivery by end-2027. AMD's 8.2 billion-dollar bid for Li Fei-Fei's World Labs and Coatue's estimate of at least a 6-trillion-dollar physical-AI market, about 50% larger than digital AI, underscore the shift from compute narrative to train-simulate-deploy robotics.
