At the "Internet Light" expo of the 2026 Wuzhen Summit, Tencent showcased and fully open-sourced the formal version of its new Hunyuan Hy4 large model, aimed at productivity scenarios such as software engineering, research and smart office, with strengthened long-horizon task understanding, planning and verification. The summit, themed "Open Source and Openness, Co-Build and Share," saw Hy4 stand alongside Alibaba's Qwen4, while the "Zhejiang open-source three swordsmen" of DeepSeek, Qwen and others made a collective appearance. The juxtaposition underscored how China's leading models are competing on openness and practical tool-use rather than benchmark scores alone.
