At Baidu AI Day's Apollo session, Baidu disclosed Apollo World, an agent-driven full-modal world model for physical AI, and proposed a "2+3" standard for world models. In the virtual city built by Apollo World, vehicles, pedestrians and other traffic participants are AI agents with decision-making and interaction capabilities. Apollo World is already used for the global testing and validation of Apollo Go, helping driverless technology scale. The disclosure shows Chinese autonomy players moving beyond perception-and-planning stacks toward generative simulation and world-model foundations for safer, faster deployment.
