Li Auto Unveils 'Lianshan' Electric Tech System With Battery Guarantee Program
On October 20 Li Auto president and chief engineer Ma Donghui launched the 'Lianshan' electric technology system covering battery, e-drive, ultra-fast charging equipment and a self-built supercharging network, with the self-developed battery named Lianshan battery. Alongside it, Li Auto released a battery guarantee plan: if a fire caused by a quality defect in its self-developed battery leads to the vehicle being written off, Li Auto will pay for a new car of equal specification; if a fire from a collision or underbody scrape leads to a write-off, it will cover the gap between the insurance policy limit and the actual insurance payout. The move signals strong confidence in its self-developed batteries, turning technical assurance into something users can see and use.
