FAW Bestune launched the Pony 5-door edition on October 28 in four variants at a limited-time price of 39,900 to 49,900 yuan. The micro-EV keeps a single motor of 30 kW and 90 Nm, paired with a CATL lithium-iron-phosphate battery, delivering up to 328 km CLTC range and 8.8 kWh per 100 km consumption, sharply lowering ownership cost. Bestune said the five-door layout strengthens its competitiveness in the mini-EV market, where affordability and practicality drive volume as younger buyers and families seek low-cost urban mobility.
