XPeng IRON Humanoid Robot's Dedicated Solid-State Battery Rolls Off Line in Small Batch
At the SAECCE embodied-intelligence robotics conference on October 28, XPeng vice president Gu Jie said the company's first humanoid-robot dedicated solid-state battery has completed small-batch production and the IRON robot is in the final stage before SOP (start of production). Compared with traditional liquid lithium batteries, the dedicated solid-state cell is about 30% lighter and offers about 30% more energy, with anti-thermal-runaway-spread design passing impact and nail-penetration safety tests. XPeng plans scaled mass production of high-end humanoid robots by end-2026 and from 2027 to place them in global stores and commercial scenarios for guiding and explaining, filling the energy short board of embodied robots.
