CATL, Xinenergy and UK's Octopus Energy Sign MoU for Smart Home-Storage in Europe
CATL said on November 4 that it has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with Britain's largest energy company Octopus Energy and battery maker Xinenergy (New Energy Technology). The three parties will jointly explore intelligent home-energy-storage solutions for the European market, focusing on two lines of work: first, dividing labor across software, hardware and channels to accelerate European residential storage deployment, and second, using home storage as a node to open all-scenario coordination. Analysts said the tie-up connects European home-storage software, hardware and localization channels, opening incremental overseas storage space and benefiting the household-storage and supporting battery-supply chains as the market watches for order conversion and commercial profitability.
