One year after starting production in Brazil, BYD has more than doubled its share of the Latin American country's largest auto market. In a statement to Bloomberg on November 3, BYD said it registered 193,227 vehicles in Brazil in the first ten months of the year, up more than 120% from the same period in 2025, with its market share rising from 4.2% a year earlier to 9.7% last month. October alone saw 24,114 registrations, up 137.6% year on year, accelerating BYD's challenge for market leadership as it scales local manufacturing and distribution.
