Five Departments Issue Action Plan to Recycle 'New Three Items' and Build NEV Battery Lifecycle Management
On November 4, the National Development and Reform Commission and four other departments issued the "Action Plan for Implementing the Comprehensive Conservation Strategy." It calls for vigorously promoting the recycling of solid waste from the "new three items" - photovoltaic products, lithium batteries and new-energy vehicles - and building a full-lifecycle management system for NEV power batteries, while improving rules for the decommissioning and scrapping of wind-power and photovoltaic equipment. Industry observers noted that the power battery, as the "heart" of the NEV, directly determines the industry's sustainability and ecological safety, making lifecycle management a core policy priority as volumes scale.
